Is God A 98 Pound Weakling?

Hi there fellow learners!

The Christian far right says that “liberal Marxists and communists” (really, communists? Still?) have kicked God out of public life. How tiny is their God? Is their God like the 98lb weakling in the Charles Atlas ads?

I have news for them:
God doesn’t need humans help. (Acts 17:25) (Jeremiah 14:22)
It isn’t possible to “kick God out” of anywhere (Psalm 139:7-12)
We don’t understand God as well as we think we do. (1 Corinthians 1:19-20)

And here’s a BIG ONE: I think we’re mistaking being in charge of things on Earth for being in charge of God. It’s not the same thing. (Genesis 1:26-28)
